Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours

Introduction (10 min)
Start the experience in the observatory's presentation room to learn about Deep Sky Eye, astronomy basics, and the night's celestial wonders you will discover!
the night sky (20-30 minutes)
Outside, under the beauty of the winter sky, learn to navigate the night sky using points of reference such as Polaris (North Star) and various constellations.
Telescope (30-60 minutes)
Back in the observatory dome, you'll learn the techniques for peering through a telescope (yes there is a technique). See planets, nebulae, and distant galaxies close up! (depending on visibility and time of year certain objects are not visible).
WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?
If the weather forecast shows cloudy for the night of the experience you may cancel for a full refund.
In the event of rain or other extreme weather, the event will be cancelled and tickets will be refunded.

Children aged 5 - 12 years: $20.00+HST CAN
Group Rates: Special discounted rates are available for non-profit, school groups and will be handled on a case by case basis. Please contact us for more details.
OTHER NOTES
Please remember to dress in layers as the temperature drops quickly in the Fall, Spring & Winter. Gloves and a tuque are a must.
Alcohol or smoking are not permitted on the grounds.
